Andrew even had his little flip video thing in front of my face the next morning before I knew what was quite going on, here is the unrehearsed unedited result. What’s the famous saying? “Face for Radio”?

Indie Lab is really excited to be joining forces with Andrew Dubber of New Music Strategies to put on an ‘Un-Consultancy’ event in Manchester on the 30th May. The day will include the opportunity for each artist to have some one-on-one consultancy time with Andrew and the chance to network and brain storm with each other about other ways to promote independent music.

(From Andrew)
In essence, how it works is I make everything I do completely targeted to the needs of the people there. I start out by talking about the issues facing the group as a whole, and try to pick out some common threads. We talk through these issues – in marketing, branding, online and social media, business strategy, PR, revenue streams, etc – and discuss the key issues in independent music in a more general sense. Then I talk through a kind of DIY consultancy system and get people to help each other out with that, while I work individually with each person for half an hour or so.

The cost for the day will be £30 and will include lunch and copious amounts of inspirational coffee, for more information or to book your place on the day then drop me a line at web@indielab.co.uk
